Riyadh Cement reports 8% uptick in sales

Saudi Arabia-based cement producer Riyadh Cement Co reported a 7.6 per cent increase in sales to SAR643.4m (US$171.6m) in 2023 when compared with SAR598m in 2022 on the back of an increase in sales volumes. Riyadh Cement reports drop in 1H profit

Saudi Arabian cement producer Riyadh Cement Co posted a 28.8 per cent decline in 1H22 sales to SAR285.6m (US$76.2m) from SAR401.4m in the 1H21. The company’s net profit after zakat and tax fell by 46.9 per cent to SAR85.1m in the 1H22 from SAR160.4m in the 1H21.

Riyadh Cement reports 47% profit fall in 1H22

Saudi-based Riyadh Cement has reported a 47 per cent YoY decline in profit to SAR85m (US$22.67m) in the opening six months of 2022. Over the same period, the company saw its revenue contract by 35 per cent to SAR258m, reports Arab News. The fall is being blamed on lower cement sales. According to the company, which operates an integrated plant in Muzahmiyah , it plans to pay SAR0.75/share in cash dividends in the 1H22.

Riyadh Cement sees 4% drop in net profits in 2021

Saudi cement company Riyadh Cement Co posted a 3.8 per cent decline in net profits after zakat and tax to SAR211.64m in 2021, when compared with 2020 when net profits after zakat and tax reached SAR219.95m. Revenues were up 13.7 per cent to SAR671.06m in 2021 from SAR590.29m in 2020, according to a bourse filing.

The aggregate sales of 17 Saudi cement producers decreased by seven per cent to 4.8Mt in December 2021, from 5.2Mt in the same month last year, according to recent data issued by Yamama Cement Co. Riyadh Cement completes record kiln operation

Saudi Arabia-based Riyadh Cement Co has completed its longest kiln operation without interruption with 70 days of continuous operation (1676.67h) without any single minute interruption.
